Important Notice & General Agreement

By engageing the services of A4 LOGIX TRADE, you (referred to as the “Shipper”) are entering into a binding agreement. These terms apply from the moment A4 LOGIX TRADE accepts your package for transport. This agreement covers you, the receiver, and anyone else with a legal interest in the shipment.

What is a “Shipment”? A shipment refers to all documents or parcels traveling under a single Waybill. We reserve the right to carry these goods by any means we choose—be it air freight, road transport, or through our network of global partners.

What is a “Waybill”? This includes any label, consignment note, or document produced by our automated systems. Every waybill incorporates these terms. Most importantly, all shipments are handled on a limited liability basis. If your goods are highly valuable, we strongly suggest you arrange for additional insurance (details provided below).

1. Customs, Exports, and Imports

At A4 LOGIX TRADE, we act as your bridge to global markets. To make sure your goods move fast, we may perform the following on your behalf:

  • Complete necessary paperwork and amend service codes to comply with local laws.

  • Pay duties and taxes upfront to avoid terminal delays (to be reimbursed by the shipper/receiver).

  • Act as a forwarding agent for customs clearance.

Critical Responsibility: Any duties, taxes, or storage charges at the destination are the responsibility of the Receiver. However, if the Receiver refuses to pay, these charges—along with return freight—will be billed back to the Shipper. Please note: A4 LOGIX TRADE is not a tax authority; we are not responsible for the amount of duty assessed by foreign customs.

The Shipper must provide valid address proofs and photo IDs as per Indian regulatory requirements. Without these, your shipment will be held, and we cannot be held liable for resulting delays.

2. Unacceptable & Prohibited Shipments

We pride ourselves on safe delivery, but we will refuse or detain any shipment that is deemed unsafe or illegal.

Prohibited Items include (but are not limited to):

  • Hazardous Materials: Anything classified as dangerous by IATA, ICAO, or national laws.

  • High Value Items: Bullion, currency, precious stones, or negotiable instruments.

  • Illegal Goods: Counterfeit products, narcotics, or pornographic material.

  • Weapons: Firearms (real or imitation), ammunition, and explosives.

  • Human/Animal remains: Including body parts or livestock.

Security Warning: If a shipment is found to contain undeclared prohibited goods, A4 LOGIX TRADE reserves the right to detain the box and escalate the matter to the Narcotics Control Bureau or local police. A heavy penalty will be charged to the sender for non-disclosure.

3. Inspection & Security Policy

For the safety of the aircraft and global security, A4 LOGIX TRADE has a 100% Inspection Policy.

  • We reserve the right to open and physically inspect any package at our premises before it leaves India.

  • We are not liable for any changes to the original packaging after an inspection. While we try to repackage things neatly, security takes priority over “factory-fresh” box aesthetics.

  • Customs authorities at origin or destination may also open your goods; we have no control over their handling processes.

4. Shipment Charges & Chargeable Weight

At A4 LOGIX TRADE, we follow global standards for billing.

  • Chargeable Weight: We bill on the higher of the Actual Weight or the Volumetric Weight.

  • Formula: $(Length \times Width \times Height) / 5000$ (for CMS).

  • All parcels are subject to re-weighing at our hub. If our machines show a higher weight than your declaration, the final invoice will be adjusted accordingly. The Shipper is responsible for all freight, ancillary fees, and re-measurement costs.

5. Limitation of Liability

We are dedicated to providing a smooth experience, but international shipping involves many variables.

  • Our Pickup Executives are responsible only for the collection of goods. Once the shipment reaches our hub, all queries should be directed to our official customer support branches.

  • We are not liable for “Indirect Losses”—this means we don’t pay for “lost business” or “mental stress” caused by a delay. We only cover the physical loss of the box as per our claim policy.

6. Claims & Time Limits

If you need to file a claim, it must be done in Writing. Verbal complaints are not legally recognized.

  • Timeline: You must submit your claim within 3 days of the delivery date. If the shipment is lost before being forwarded, the 3 days start from the pickup date.

  • Requirements: You must provide the original Air Waybill (AWB) copy and a valid complaint number from the delivery network.

7. Shipment Insurance (Highly Recommended)

A4 LOGIX TRADE can help arrange insurance for your peace of mind.

  • The Limit: In case of a total loss during transit by our carrier, the maximum claim value is capped at $100 USD or the invoice value (whichever is less), plus the freight charges.

  • Third-Party Insurance: For valuable commercial goods, we recommend you take a separate “Marine Cargo Policy” from providers like TATA AIG, ICICI Lombard, or New India Assurance. This gives you much better protection for high-value exports.

8. Damage & Packaging Disclaimer

We move thousands of boxes through a network of multiple handlers and carriers. Because of this, we do not accept responsibility for damage claims. * It is the Shipper’s duty to ensure the packaging is strong enough for international transit.

  • We provide basic boxes and tape as a courtesy, but fragile or liquid items need “Professional Crating.” If you ship glass or liquids, you do so at your own risk. No refunds are provided for spoiled or broken items.

9. Delivery & Delay Policy

Transit times are Approximate. There is no such thing as a “Guaranteed Delivery Date” in international logistics due to customs and weather.

  • No Refunds for Delays: We do not provide refunds or discounts if a shipment takes longer than the estimated time.

  • Customs Impact: Customs in countries like the USA or Japan can hold a box for 24 hours or 24 days. We cannot influence their speed or decisions.

10. Circumstances Beyond Our Control (Force Majeure)

A4 LOGIX TRADE is not liable if your shipment is delayed or lost due to:

  • Natural Disasters: Earthquakes, cyclones, storms, or severe fog.

  • Force Majeure: War, riots, strikes, plane crashes, or government lockdowns.

  • Electrical Damage: Erasure of electronic data or magnetic images due to X-ray screening at airports.

11. Shipper’s Warranties & Indemnity

By signing our waybill, the Shipper warrants that:

  1. All information provided (value, contents, address) is 100% correct.

  2. The shipment was packed in a secure environment by reliable staff.

  3. The shipment is correctly labeled and addressed.

  4. You will indemnify A4 LOGIX TRADE against any fines or legal costs arising from your failure to follow customs laws.

12. Return & Rerouting Policy

If a shipment is returned because the address was wrong, the receiver was unavailable, or they refused the package:

  • The Shipper must pay for the return shipping costs, including international freight and any taxes levied by customs.

  • Returned goods must be collected from our nearest branch. We provide 15 days of free storage, after which daily warehouse charges will apply.

13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

A4 LOGIX TRADE operates under the legal framework of India. Any disputes, claims, or legal disagreements arising from our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts in Delhi, India.

14. Specialized Services (Quick Terms)

  • Medicine Courier: Delivery is subject to destination customs. No refunds if the medicine is rejected by the destination country’s health department.

  • Food Items: We do not take responsibility for melting or spoiling. Ship at your own risk.

  • LCL Shipping (Door to Port): Our responsibility ends at the destination port. The receiver is responsible for all port charges, unloading, and local clearance fees.

Final Confirmation

  • By handing over your shipment to A4 LOGIX TRADE, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms. We look forward to helping
